Team Achilles Has 3 On The Podium At Seattle

July 22, 2014 - Santa Clarita, Calif. – Formula DRIFT Round 4 – Throwdown was held last weekend at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. This event featured both PRO and PRO2 classes, and saw three members of Team Achilles standing on the podium by the close of the event.

Team Achilles drivers Jeremy Lowe, Dan Savage, and James Evans qualified 1st through 3rd in the PRO2 class, with Savage eventually winning the event and Jeremy Lowe standing on the podium in 3rd place. Geoff Stoneback and Dan Savage are currently tied at the top of the standings with Jeremy Lowe and James Evans in third and fourth respectively. Round 3 of the PRO2 series will be held at Texas Motor Speedway in September.

Robbie Nishida laid down an epic qualifying run, which put him in the number two qualifier position and would pit him against Taka Aono in Top 32. Team Achilles members Dean Kearney and Charles Ng would once again face each other, this time in Top 32. Kenny Moen would line up against Vaughn Gittin, Jr. in Top 32. Rookies Geoff Stoneback and Mike Pollard would both retire after tough fought battles in the the Top 32. Nishida and Kearney would both advance to the Top 16 but would face each other in the round. Kenny Moen pulled off an amazing win against Gittin, but would retire after the Top 16. Dean Kearney, clearly on fire at this event and with all of his Team Achilles teammates cheering him on, would make it all the way to his first Formula DRIFT podium with a second place finish.

Kenny Moen currently sits in 4th place, with Dean Kearney in 8th and Robbie Nishida in 9th place in overall points.

Formula DRIFT Round 6 – Showdown will be held on September 12th and 13th at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. This round will feature both PRO and PRO2 classes. Team Achilles members Daigo Saito, Robbie Nishida, Dean Kearney, Kenny Moen, Charles Ng, and Dave Briggs will all compete in the Formula DRIFT Canada Challenge at Autodrome Ste. Eustace on August 31st and September 1st in Montreal Canada.
